Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Trade Operations Consultant in New York, NY for our client, supporting middle office operations, trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, and operational controls within a high-volume investment environment. This temporary opportunity will focus on supporting fixed income and derivative trading activities while helping maintain operational efficiency during a period of team growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong investment operations experience, knowledge of fixed income products and trade operations, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities as the Senior Trade Operations Consultant:

  • Trade Lifecycle Management: Oversee trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and post-settlement activities across fixed income and derivative products.
  • Reconciliations: Perform daily cash, position, and profit and loss reconciliations while investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Corporate Actions: Process and reconcile corporate actions while ensuring accurate portfolio records and timely execution.
  • Counterparty Coordination: Partner with brokers, custodians, administrators, and internal stakeholders to support operational processing and issue resolution.
  • Operational Controls: Identify operational risks, escalate issues appropriately, and support the implementation of controls and best practices.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to automation initiatives, workflow enhancements, and operational efficiency projects.

Qualifications for the Senior Trade Operations Consultant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 5–10 years of trade operations experience within a hedge fund, asset management firm, investment firm, or fund administration environment is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of fixed income products, bond trading operations, and the full trade lifecycle is required.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with trade processing platforms, reconciliation systems, Microsoft Excel, and investment operations technology is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment are required.
