Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Fund Accounting Associate in New York, NY for our client, supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, technology initiatives, and operational process improvement activities within a growing private credit investment environment. This hybrid role will partner closely with accounting, operations, investor relations, and technology teams to support fund reporting, NAV processes, system enhancements, and workflow optimization initiatives across complex credit fund structures. The ideal candidate will bring strong private fund accounting experience, advanced technical skills, and a technology-forward mindset with an interest in automation and process improvement.

Responsibilities as the Fund Accounting Associate:

  • Fund Accounting: Review and support fund accounting, investor allocations, capital activity, and financial reporting processes across investment funds.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reporting packages, and supporting accounting schedules under U.S. GAAP and related reporting standards.
  • Audit & Compliance Support: Coordinate with auditors, fund administrators, and internal teams to support audits, regulatory filings, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables.
  • Technology & Systems Enhancement: Support implementation, optimization, and enhancement of fund accounting systems, reporting tools, and operational workflows across the accounting function.
  • Data & Analytics Support: Utilize reporting and analytics platforms to support operational reporting, reconciliations, financial analysis, and process automation initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, investor relations, finance, and external service providers to ensure accurate reporting, data integrity, and efficient operational processes.

Qualifications for the Fund Accounting Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 3–6 years of fund accounting, investment accounting, alternative investment operations, or related financial services experience is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of fund accounting, investor allocations, capital activity, financial reporting, and investment operations is required.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, while experience with reporting systems, data analytics tools, and investment operations platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Certification: CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, communication abilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment are required.
