Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000/year + bonus
Location: Montgomery County, PA 
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Staff Accountant (Real Estate) in Montgomery County, PA for our client, supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, and operational accounting across a real estate investment platform. This role focuses on assisting with close processes, capital activity, and reporting while gaining exposure to fund, investment, and property-level accounting. The position offers strong training and development within a collaborative team environment and requires proficiency in Excel and core accounting principles.

Responsibilities as the Staff Accountant (Real Estate):

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing quarterly financial statements and reporting packages across funds and related entities.
  • Close Process: Support monthly and quarterly close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and cash tracking.
  • Capital Activity: Record capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations across multiple entities.
  • Reconciliations: Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Audit and Tax Support: Assist with audit requests and coordinate documentation with external service providers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to support operational accounting and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant (Real Estate):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience, including internships, is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Exposure to real estate, private equity, or investment accounting is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills are required, with experience in accounting systems preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, communication skills, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required.
