Job Overview – Accounts Payable Lead
Compensation: $150,000 – $175,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring an Accounts Payable Lead in New York, NY for our client, supporting end-to-end accounts payable operations, process optimization, and financial reporting within a fast-paced, global environment. This hybrid role owns the full AP function across multiple entities and currencies, with a strong focus on automation, workflow improvement, and system utilization using tools such as NetSuite and Ramp. The position offers high visibility and the opportunity to drive efficiency and modernization within a growing organization.
Responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Lead:
- Invoice Processing: Manage invoice intake, coding, approval workflows, and full lifecycle processing across multiple entities.
- Vendor Management: Oversee vendor onboarding, maintain records, and resolve payment inquiries and discrepancies.
- Payments: Coordinate payment execution, verify banking details, and ensure accurate disbursements.
- Reconciliations: Perform AP reconciliations including vendor statements and subledger to general ledger tie-outs.
- Month-End Close: Support close processes including accruals, reporting, and reconciliation of AP balances.
- Expense Management: Review and approve employee expenses, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Lead:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5–8 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting multi-entity or global operations preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite and expense platforms with strong Excel skills.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills in a fast-paced setting.
