Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accountant (Private Equity) in New York, NY for our client, supporting fund accounting, financial reporting, and management company operations within an investment management environment. This hybrid role works closely with leadership and external partners to manage reporting, cash activity, and fund operations while supporting audit and tax processes. The position offers exposure across both management company and fund-level accounting in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant (Private Equity):

  • Fund Accounting: Review financial statements, capital accounts, and reporting deliverables prepared by fund administrators.
  • Management Company Accounting: Maintain general ledger activity, record transactions, and support financial reporting processes.
  • Cash Management: Monitor cash positions, perform bank reconciliations, and support cash flow forecasting.
  • Investor Reporting: Assist with preparation of quarterly investor reports and respond to information requests.
  • Audit & Tax Coordination: Support external audits and coordinate with tax advisors on filings and compliance.
  • Expense Allocation: Allocate expenses across entities and ensure proper tracking and documentation.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant (Private Equity):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 3-6 years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or fund administration.
  • Certification: CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with private equity funds and partnership accounting preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills with experience in accounting systems and financial reporting.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
