Job Overview – Finance Associate (FP&A)
Compensation: $115,000 – $145,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Finance Associate (FP&A) in Boston, MA for our client, supporting financial planning, expense analysis, and management reporting within a financial services environment. In this role, you will lead budgeting and forecasting, analyze operating expenses, and deliver data-driven insights while partnering with business leaders and senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced Excel and reporting tools to drive transparency, support decision-making, and improve financial processes.
Responsibilities as the Finance Associate (FP&A):
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present management reports on expenses, performance metrics, and budget adherence.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
- Expense Analysis: Analyze operating expenses and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and operations to support strategic initiatives.
- Data Analysis & Modeling: Build financial models and deliver analysis to evaluate performance and trends.
Qualifications for the Finance Associate (FP&A):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field is required.
- Experience: 5–7 years of experience in FP&A, management reporting, or financial analysis within financial services or consulting environments is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management within a corporate or investment environment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
