Job Overview – Finance Director (Investment Management)
Compensation: $185,000 – $225,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Finance Director (Investment Management) in Boston, MA for our client, leading financial reporting, FP&A, cash management, and corporate finance operations. In this role, you will oversee the management company finance function, partner with senior leadership to drive financial strategy, and ensure reporting accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate brings experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight, along with advanced Excel skills and ERP systems such as Workday or similar platforms.
Responsibilities as the Finance Director (Investment Management):
- Financial Leadership: Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and audit coordination.
- FP&A Management: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, including variance analysis and executive reporting.
- Cash Management: Manage liquidity, cash flow planning, and financial transactions.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee corporate financial operations, including expenses, vendor management, and cost allocations.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead finance teams and partner with accounting, tax, operations, and compliance to drive performance and efficiency.
Qualifications for the Finance Director (Investment Management):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years of financial services experience with exposure to private funds and management company finance functions is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of partnership accounting, financial reporting, and corporate finance within investment management is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems such as Workday or similar platforms is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
