Job Overview – Assistant Vice President (Loan Operations)
Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring an Assistant Vice President (Loan Operations) in New York, NY for our client, supporting loan operations, deal onboarding, and transaction workflows within a credit-focused investment environment. In this role, you will manage deal setup, partner with internal teams and external providers, and ensure data accuracy across loan and structured credit transactions. You will leverage Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Alteryx to enhance reporting, improve processes, and support scalable operations.
Responsibilities as the Assistant Vice President (Loan Operations):
- Deal Onboarding & Execution: Coordinate deal closings and manage onboarding processes while partnering with investment teams and transaction managers.
- Operational Workflow Management: Oversee end-to-end loan operations workflows to ensure accurate setup, data integrity, and system alignment.
- Data Integrity & Reconciliation: Perform data quality checks and reconciliations to ensure consistency of deal-level data and financial metrics.
- Third-Party Coordination: Manage relationships with servicers, trustees, and administrators while ensuring service levels and operational standards are met.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Drive process enhancements and automation initiatives using Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or Alteryx to improve efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications for the Assistant Vice President (Loan Operations):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in loan operations, credit operations, or structured finance is required, with a strong preference for experience within asset managers, private credit, or buy-side environments.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of loan products including residential, commercial, consumer loans, and structured credit instruments is required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel is required, and experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, Alteryx, or similar data and reporting tools is strongly preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex workflows while collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders and external partners.
