Job Overview – Investment Banking Associate (M&A)
Compensation: $110,000 – $125,000/year + bonus
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring an Investment Banking Associate (M&A) in Philadelphia, PA for our client, supporting middle-market mergers and acquisitions transactions through financial analysis, valuation, and deal execution. In this hybrid role, you will build complex financial models, prepare transaction marketing materials, conduct industry and company research, and collaborate with senior bankers and clients throughout the full M&A lifecycle.
Responsibilities as the Investment Banking Associate (M&A):
- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain financial models and perform valuation analyses to evaluate potential M&A transactions.
- Transaction Execution: Support live deal execution including due diligence coordination, financial analysis, and transaction structuring.
- Marketing Materials & Presentations: Prepare CIMs, pitch books, management presentations, and other transaction materials.
- Industry & Company Research: Conduct market, industry, and competitive research to support transaction evaluation and advisory work.
- Client & Deal Process Management: Participate in client and buyer meetings while managing transaction workflows and data room coordination.
Qualifications for the Investment Banking Associate (M&A):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Experience: 4+ years of investment banking, M&A advisory, private equity, or transaction advisory experience within a financial services environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of mergers and acquisitions, valuation methodologies, capital structures, and financial statement analysis.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required with strong financial modeling capabilities.
- Skills & Attributes: Analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple live transactions in a fast-paced deal environment.
