Job Overview – Senior Fund Accounting Manager (Private Equity)
Compensation: $165,000 – $180,000/year + bonus

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Fund Accounting Manager (Private Equity) in Greenwich, CT for our client, leading closed-end fund accounting, financial reporting, and fund administrator oversight across private equity and real assets strategies. In this hybrid role, you will manage month-end and quarterly close, oversee capital activity and waterfall calculations, coordinate audits and tax reporting, and leverage Investran to ensure accurate GAAP-based reporting and operational compliance.
Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accounting Manager (Private Equity):
- Fund Close & Administrator Oversight: Review month-end and quarterly reporting prepared by fund administrators, including reconciliations, allocations, expense accruals, management fees, and capital activity.
- Financial Statements & Audit Management: Oversee annual financial statement preparation and manage external audit processes to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Capital Activity & Waterfall Calculations: Review capital calls and distributions, validate waterfall calculations, and ensure accurate investor allocations and wire processing.
- Compliance & Credit Facility Monitoring: Monitor subline compliance, review interest and fee calculations, and ensure adherence to credit and regulatory requirements.
- Tax & Cross-Entity Reporting Coordination: Partner with tax advisors on investor reporting, support tax provisions, and coordinate entity-level reconciliations across jurisdictions.
Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accounting Manager (Private Equity):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certification: CPA required.
- Experience: 6+ years of private equity or alternative investment fund accounting experience, including closed-end funds and public accounting or Big 4 exposure.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, capital calls, distributions, waterfall calculations, sublines, and GAAP financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Investran required, with advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with fund administrator reporting platforms preferred.
- Strategy Exposure: Experience supporting real assets, infrastructure, or related alternative investment strategies preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented accounting leader with strong analytical skills, ownership mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced private equity environment.
