Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Associate (Structured Finance) in Chicago, IL for our client, supporting debt origination, underwriting, and portfolio analytics across commercial real estate financing. This role partners with senior leadership to execute structured financings while managing lender reporting, financial modeling, and transaction workflows. The position offers exposure to deal structuring, portfolio analysis, and capital markets initiatives within a real estate investment environment.

Responsibilities as the Senior Associate (Structured Finance):

  • Debt Origination Execution: Provide analytical and execution support for new financings across CMBS, agency, and balance sheet loan structures.
  • Financial Modeling & Underwriting: Build and maintain lender models, portfolio analyses, and scenario projections to support structuring decisions.
  • Transaction & Diligence Management: Coordinate diligence processes including data rooms, third-party reports, and lender information requests.
  • Lender Reporting & Portfolio Oversight: Prepare recurring reporting, covenant tracking, and performance updates for lenders and servicers.
  • Data & Capital Markets Infrastructure: Maintain debt management systems and enhance dashboards and reporting workflows.

Qualifications for the Senior Associate (Structured Finance):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience underwriting, structuring, or originating real estate debt within a bank, debt fund, asset manager, or advisory platform.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in commercial real estate financing, including CMBS, agency, and balance sheet loan structures with a focus on multifamily assets.
  • Technical Skills: Experience building and maintaining financial models in Excel, with familiarity using Yardi or comparable real estate systems and the ability to prepare analyses and presentation materials in PowerPoint.
  • Skills & Attributes: Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and collaborate cross-functionally, with demonstrated capability to communicate financial insights clearly and synthesize complex information for stakeholders.
