Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Fund Accountant (Private Credit) in New York, NY for our client, supporting fund accounting, performance reporting, and operational oversight across senior loan and mezzanine strategies. In this hybrid role, you will oversee financial reporting prepared by fund administrators, support capital activity, and manage investment accounting processes while ensuring accuracy across private credit portfolios.

Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accountant (Private Credit):

  • Fund Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, capital account statements, and supporting workpapers for private credit funds and related SPVs.
  • Capital Activity & Cash Management: Manage capital calls, distributions, debt activity, and wire processing while tracking fund liquidity and borrowings.
  • Investment & Expense Tracking: Maintain schedules for debt and equity investments, portfolio expenses, and payables to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Performance & Waterfall Analysis: Prepare and review IRR reporting, waterfall calculations, and performance metrics across fund portfolios.
  • Audit, Tax & Compliance Support: Assist with audit and tax processes, subscription facility reporting, and ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders.

Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accountant (Private Credit):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Experience: 4-7 years of fund accounting experience within private credit or alternative investments, either in-house or with a fund administrator.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with private credit structures, capital activity, performance reporting, and fund financial statements.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with general ledger systems required, with advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with fund accounting platforms preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced investment environment.
