Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accountant (Hybrid) in Philadelphia, PA for our client, supporting close, financial reporting, and operational accounting within a regulated environment. This hybrid role supports month-end and quarter-end close, assists with GAAP financial reporting and regulatory compliance, and partners cross-functionally while working in a large ERP environment to ensure accurate general ledger activity and timely financial deliverables.

Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:

  • Close & General Ledger Support: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting schedules.
  • Financial & Regulatory Reporting: Assist with internal management reporting and external GAAP financial reporting, including required compliance support.
  • Operational Accounting: Support operational accounting across revenue, expenses, intercompany activity, and other business-specific processes.
  • Analysis & Issue Resolution: Perform general ledger analysis to identify variances, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Audit & Process Improvement: Support external audits, internal controls documentation, and participate in system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience within a corporate environment or public accounting audit experience.
  • Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of general accounting principles with the ability to apply guidance to both routine and complex transactions.
  • Technical Skills: Experience working with large ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, strong Excel proficiency, and comfort using financial data tools.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and an interest in process improvement and new technologies.
