Job Overview – Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
Compensation: $110,000 – $140,000/year + bonus
Location: Chester County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting in Chester County, PA for our client, supporting SEC reporting and technical accounting initiatives. In this in-office role, you will oversee financial statement preparation, U.S. GAAP compliance, and monthly and quarterly close activities while partnering with FP&A, operations, external auditors, and leadership to support accurate, scalable financial reporting.

Responsibilities as the Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting:

  • SEC & External Reporting: Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Technical Accounting Leadership: Research and document complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, inventory, and new accounting standards, and provide clear guidance to stakeholders.
  • Financial Statement Oversight: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting.
  • Close Process & Controls: Support monthly and quarterly close activities, strengthen internal controls, and ensure consistent accounting policies and procedures.
  • Audit & Advisor Coordination: Act as a primary liaison with external auditors, managing audit requests, technical memos, and issue resolution.

Qualifications for the Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA strongly preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in large public accounting firms supporting SEC-registered clients, with hands-on involvement in financial reporting engagements.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, with experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Inventory accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to mentor junior team members in a fast-paced, in-office environment.
