Job Overview – Director of Enterprise Data Strategy
Compensation: $160,000 – $190,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Director of Enterprise Data Strategy in Boston, MA for our client, leading enterprise-wide data governance, architecture, and reporting initiatives. In this hybrid role, you will design scalable data frameworks, improve data quality and transparency, and enable automated reporting and analytics while partnering across finance, operations, and technology teams.
Responsibilities as the Director of Enterprise Data Strategy:
- Data Strategy & Workflow Design: Lead end-to-end data strategy by optimizing workflows from source systems to reporting, embedding strong governance and quality controls.
- Data Architecture & Integration: Design and implement scalable data architecture across deal pipelines, accounting systems, portfolio monitoring platforms, valuation models, and centralized data environments.
- Data Quality, Controls & Transparency: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and traceability to enable automated reporting, visualization tools, and AI-driven analytics.
- Optimization & Automation Leadership: Drive process redesign and automation by reducing manual workflows and standardizing data mappings, calculations, and aggregations across systems.
- Governance & Oversight: Establish governance policies, documentation, and data health KPIs while serving as a centralized data management function across the firm.
Qualifications for the Director of Enterprise Data Strategy:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field required.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in asset management, private equity, or a similar financial services environment, with hands-on data governance experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Proven experience designing or leading data governance programs, data architecture initiatives, or enterprise reporting strategies within an investment or financial services platform.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance frameworks, data lakes, and business intelligence platforms, with exposure to AI or machine learning preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Self-directed leader with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to drive cross-functional, data-driven process improvements.
