Atlantic Group is hiring a Director of Investment Operations (Hedge Fund) in New York, NY for our client, leading trade lifecycle management and operational infrastructure across CDS and OTC derivatives. In this hybrid role, you will oversee trade processing, reconciliations, PnL workflows, and automation while partnering with portfolio management, trading, and external counterparties. Ideal candidates bring deep hedge fund operations experience with strong CDS, OTC derivatives, and Enfusion exposure.

Responsibilities as the Director of Investment Operations (Hedge Fund):

  • Trade Lifecycle & Blotter Management: Oversee allocation and processing of CDS and OTC derivative trades, ensuring accurate trade flow to ICE, TradeServ, DTCC, and counterparties.
  • Reconciliations & Cash Oversight: Own daily reconciliations of trades, positions, and cash with prime brokers, banks, custodians, and counterparties, resolving breaks independently.
  • PnL & Valuation Oversight: Lead end-of-day PnL processes, identify booking or valuation issues, and escalate risks impacting performance or reporting accuracy.
  • Process Ownership & Automation: Own end-to-end operational workflows while driving automation, scalability, and control enhancements across the platform.
  • Leadership: Partner closely with portfolio managers, traders, risk, finance, and technology teams to ensure seamless daily operations and execution.

Qualifications for the Director of Investment Operations (Hedge Fund):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 10-15 years of progressive investment operations experience within a hedge fund or alternative asset manager, with senior-level ownership of core operational workflows.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with TradeServ, ICELink, Enfusion, and Excel, with VBA or automation experience strongly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of CDS, OTC derivatives, trade lifecycle processing, reconciliations, cash management, and hedge fund operations.
  • Process & Automation: Proven experience building, automating, and scaling operational processes in a high-volume trading environment.
  • Skills & Attributes: Highly analytical, detail-oriented leader with strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced hedge fund setting.
