Job Overview – Accounting Associate (Corporate Accounting):
Compensation: $70,000 – $75,000/year + bonus
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is hiring an Accounting Associate (Corporate Accounting) with our client in Philadelphia, PA. In this in-office role, you will support month-end close, financial reporting, SEC filings, consolidation tasks, and internal controls. You’ll prepare journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and filing support while collaborating with asset management and third-party servicers. Strong US GAAP knowledge and corporate accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities as the Accounting Associate (Corporate Accounting):

  • Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and cash flow schedules to support accurate monthly reporting.
  • SEC Reporting Support: Assist with quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q), including footnotes, MD&A sections, supporting schedules, and tie-out binders.
  • Interest & Servicer Reconciliations: Calculate and confirm monthly interest remittances with third-party servicers and resolve discrepancies.
  • Internal Controls & Audit: Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist internal and external auditors during review cycles.
  • Collaboration & Projects: Partner with Asset Management and third-party servicers while supporting technical accounting research, process improvements, and ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications for the Accounting Associate (Corporate Accounting):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of public audit or corporate accounting experience, preferably within financial services or investment environments.
  • Technical Skills: Strong GAAP and consolidation knowledge with advanced Excel, Microsoft Office proficiency, and Great Plains experience preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Exposure to SEC financial reporting, structured commercial real estate lending, or investment fund accounting preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
