Job Overview – Senior SEC Reporting Accountant (Remote):
Compensation: $80,000 – $115,000/year + bonus
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Remote)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior SEC Reporting Accountant (Remote) with our client. This fully remote role supports SEC filings, pre-IPO readiness, M&A projects, carve-outs, technical accounting, and FP&A initiatives. You will prepare and review 10-K and 10-Q filings, draft footnotes, research ASC guidance, and partner with clients to improve reporting accuracy and processes. Experience with ASC guidance, smaller reporting company disclosures, and financial statement preparation is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities as the Senior SEC Reporting Accountant:

  • SEC Filings: Prepare 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and related disclosures with accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting: Draft financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and technical accounting memos while researching ASC guidance.
  • Pre-IPO & Transaction Support: Assist with S-1 filings, internal controls, audit readiness, M&A accounting, and carve-out financials.
  • FP&A & Advisory: Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and other client-facing advisory needs.
  • Process & Client Leadership: Improve reporting processes and controls while working directly with leadership to deliver end-to-end reporting work.

Qualifications for the Senior SEC Reporting Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA preferred).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of public accounting experience with SEC reporting exposure, preferably from a non–Big 4 firm.
  • Technical Skills: Strong SEC reporting experience (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) with solid ASC knowledge and financial statement preparation skills, along with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with smaller reporting company disclosures, debt and equity accounting, and IPO readiness preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and analytical with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a desire for hands-on, value-added work with growth potential.
