Job Overview – SEC Reporting Manager (Remote):
Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000/year + bonus
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Remote)

Atlantic Group is hiring an SEC Reporting Manager (Remote) with our client. This fully remote role supports SEC filings, pre-IPO readiness, M&A projects, carve-outs, technical accounting, and process improvements. You will prepare and review 10-K and 10-Q filings, develop technical accounting memos, assist with SOX readiness, and partner with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. Experience with ASC guidance, SEC regulations, and financial reporting systems is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities as the SEC Reporting Manager:

  • SEC Filings: Prepare and review 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and related disclosures with a deep understanding of SEC requirements.
  • Technical Accounting & Pre-IPO: Research complex accounting topics, draft technical memos, and support S-1 filings, internal controls, and audit readiness.
  • M&A & Carve-Outs: Assist with purchase accounting, carve-outs, transaction reporting, and integration activities.
  • Advisory & FP&A Support: Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and other financial advisory projects.
  • Process & Project Leadership: Improve reporting processes and controls while managing multiple engagements with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications for the SEC Reporting Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA strongly preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of public accounting experience with at least 1 year in consulting, advisory, or in-house reporting, with non–Big 4 and non–financial services backgrounds preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong SEC reporting expertise, including 10-K/10-Q filings, 8-Ks, and proxy statements, with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC guidance, with exposure to IFRS and familiarity with Statutory Accounting Principles.
  • Skills & Attributes: Analytical, detail-oriented professional with strong writing skills, technical accounting strength, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a client-facing environment.
