Job Overview – Accounts Receivable Manager:
Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000/year + bonus
Location: Gloucester County, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring an Accounts Receivable Manager in Gloucester County, NJ for our client. This on-site leadership role oversees billing, collections, and cash applications in a high-volume environment. You will drive process improvements, ERP migration, and automation while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. Ideal for experienced AR professionals with strong ERP skills and backgrounds in manufacturing, logistics, or distribution.
Responsibilities as the Accounts Receivable Manager:
- Leadership & Oversight: Manage and develop the AR team, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and strong performance across all receivable functions.
- AR Operations: Oversee billing, collections, and cash application while managing multiple payment channels, including ACH, credit cards, EDI, and lockbox.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, document workflows, and implement SOPs to enhance structure and scalability.
- ERP Management: Maintain AR processes within ERP systems during migration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
- Customer Relations: Handle remittance inquiries and billing discrepancies to strengthen client relationships and improve collections.
Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of accounts receivable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics, with strong Excel skills and preferred experience in automation tools and EDI billing.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of payment processing, reconciliation, and credit/collections in high-volume environments.
- Skills & Attributes: Organized, analytical, and proactive leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
