Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Fund Accountant (Private Equity) in Greenwich, CT for our client, a growing private equity firm. This hybrid role manages fund accounting, financial reporting, and investor operations in collaboration with administrators, auditors, and the investment team. Ideal for accountants with public accounting or fund administration experience looking to advance their careers in private equity.

Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accountant (Private Equity):

  • Fund Oversight: Review fund administrator workpapers, cash reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage fund accounting, expense allocations, and investor reporting while maintaining accurate fund return files.
  • Portfolio Analytics: Partner with the investment team to track portfolio performance, calculate key metrics, and update fund performance data.
  • Audit & Compliance: Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and internal reporting with auditors and external advisors.
  • Investor Relations: Prepare investor materials, advisory board presentations, and fundraising reports while maintaining the investor portal.

Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accountant (Private Equity):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required (CPA preferred).
  • Experience: 1-3 years in public accounting, fund administration, or fund accounting within financial services, with preferred exposure to private equity or alternative investments.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with preferred experience in fund accounting software and investor reporting platforms.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of fund structures, financial reporting standards, and partnership accounting principles.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and analytical professional with sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage confidential data in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
