Job Overview – Senior Hedge Fund Accountant:
Compensation: $100,000 – $140,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Hedge Fund Accountant in New York, NY (Hybrid) with our client. You will oversee NAV calculations, trade processing, reconciliations, and audit preparation, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This opportunity is ideal for experienced fund accountants with hedge fund operations expertise, strong knowledge of equities and OTC derivatives, and proficiency in OMS and Bloomberg systems.

Responsibilities as the Senior Hedge Fund Accountant:

  • NAV & Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate NAVs, yields, distributions, and fund-level financial reports.
  • Reconciliations: Review and resolve daily cash, position, and settlement breaks to ensure data accuracy.
  • Trade Operations: Process trades, manage wire transactions and confirmations, and address trade breaks promptly.
  • Corporate Actions & Fund Flows: Execute corporate actions and oversee fund wires to maintain precise records.
  • Audit & Compliance: Support audits and regulatory filings by preparing reports and coordinating year-end reviews.
  • Technology & Collaboration: Utilize OMS, Bloomberg, and internal tools while partnering with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to enhance reporting and controls.

Qualifications for the Senior Hedge Fund Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required.
  • Experience: 5-10 years in fund accounting or financial operations within a hedge fund or fund administrator, with expertise in equities, FX, and OTC derivatives.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency with experience in OMS platforms and Bloomberg, and familiarity with fund accounting systems preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity and derivative instruments, global settlements, and hedge fund operations.
  • Skills & Attributes: Analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, project ownership mentality, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
