Compensation: $105,000 – $120,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Fund Accounting Analyst for our client in New York, NY. In this role, you will support merchant banking, private equity, and real estate investment teams by managing deal funding operations, cash reserves, and quarterly valuations. You will review GAAP financial statements and LP reporting packages, while assisting with audits, tax filings, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting within a leading financial services firm.

Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accounting Analyst:

  • Deal Funding: Support merchant bank and private equity teams in executing deal funding operations and managing portfolio investment data.
  • Valuation Review: Assist in the review of quarterly private company valuations prepared by Private Equity, Real Estate, and Merchant Bank teams.
  • Financial Reporting: Review GAAP financial statements and Limited Partner reporting packages prepared by fund administrators.
  • Cash Management: Oversee cash reserves for deal financing, fund expenses, and liquidity planning.
  • Audit & Tax Support: Provide documentation and analysis to support annual audits and tax filings.
  • Portfolio Reporting: Prepare portfolio decks, maintain dashboards, and contribute to ad hoc analysis and special projects.

Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accounting Analyst:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in fund administration, private fund accounting, or a related financial services role required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools, with preferred experience in fund accounting systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of private equity, merchant banking, and real estate investment structures, valuations, and GAAP reporting.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
