Job Overview – Accounts Payable Specialist:
Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000/year + bonus
Location: Greenwich, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Strengthen financial operations as an Accounts Payable Specialist with our client in Greenwich, CT (Hybrid), supporting accounts payable and expense management within a leading asset management firm. You will process employee expense reports and vendor invoices, manage Concur and Workday system integrations, and ensure compliance with travel and expense policies. This role is ideal for experienced AP professionals with financial services backgrounds who excel in system management, process efficiency, and cross-department collaboration.
Responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Travel & Expense Processing: Audit and process employee expense reports in Concur, confirming receipts, approvals, and adherence to policy.
- System Oversight: Maintain integration between Concur and Workday, manage workflows, and resolve travel or booking issues as they arise.
- Employee Support: Deliver training sessions, develop user materials, and assist staff with questions on T&E policies and system use.
- Invoice Management: Review and process vendor invoices in Workday, complete detailed allocations, and ensure compliance with internal controls and VAT requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work with AP and HR to address invoice discrepancies, support accruals, reconciliations, and closing activities.
- Compliance & Reporting: Prepare reports, track outstanding submissions, and assist with audits and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 5-8 years of accounts payable experience in financial services, with fund accounting or investment-related backgrounds strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Concur Travel & Expense, Workday, and Microsoft Excel required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate travel, expense policies, and compliance standards.
- Skills & Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven with excellent communication skills.
