Job Overview – Client Accounting Manager:
Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000/year + bonus
Location: Burlington County, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Client Accounting Manager in Burlington County, NJ, for a hybrid role supporting our client. You will manage bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, and tax filings for a diverse client portfolio. Using QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Sage, you’ll advise on best practices, ensure GAAP compliance, and strengthen client relationships through regular local visits.
Responsibilities as the Client Accounting Manager:
- Financial Oversight: Manage bookkeeping and accounting functions for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely deliverables.
- Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconciliations: Perform bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Accounts & Payroll Management: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and related tax filings.
- Closing Procedures: Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, delivering accurate and timely financial reports.
- Client Advisory & Engagement: Provide financial insights, recommend process improvements, advise on accounting systems, and maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings.
Qualifications for the Client Accounting Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, ideally within a public accounting firm or client services environment.
- Certification: Bookkeeping certification and QuickBooks Online certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks Online with experience in Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software, and familiarity with payroll platforms preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and client accounting best practices.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients effectively.
- Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for frequent local client visits.
