Job Overview – Senior Director, Corporate Controller (Private Equity):
Compensation: $180,000 – $200,000/year + bonus
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Lead corporate accounting strategy as a Senior Director Corporate Controller (Private Equity) with our client in Montgomery County, PA (Hybrid). Oversee all accounting operations, mentor a high-performing team, and optimize order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and revenue recognition cycles. Manage monthly and quarterly closes, deliver GAAP-compliant reporting, and integrate acquisitions into NetSuite ERP. Ideal for leaders with private equity or venture capital experience and advanced technical accounting expertise.

Responsibilities as the Senior Director, Corporate Controller:

  • Accounting & Close Management: Oversee all accounting operations, lead monthly and quarterly closes, review journal entries, and ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Manage revenue recognition compliance, invoicing, collections, procure-to-pay processes, and deliver financial statements to private equity-backed standards.
  • Technical Accounting & Compliance: Provide guidance on GAAP issues, purchase price accounting, fixed assets, and project accounting while ensuring policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and develop accounting staff, delegate workloads effectively, and design organizational structures aligned with business goals.
  • Process Improvement & ERP Optimization: Drive ERP (NetSuite) enhancements, integrate acquisitions, and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Strategic Finance Support: Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, planning, capex, tax compliance, and net working capital management.

Qualifications for the Senior Director, Corporate Controller:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (MBA preferred).
  • Licensure: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in finance or accounting leadership roles, with preferred experience in private equity or venture capital portfolio companies.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced NetSuite ERP proficiency with expertise in GAAP, purchase price accounting, GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, project accounting, and Power BI reporting.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in SaaS or high-growth environments, with experience implementing and refining financial systems and accounting processes.
  • Skills & Attributes: Proven ability to lead high-performance teams, drive process improvements, and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines with a solutions-focused mindset.
