Job Overview – Financial Planning Associate:
Compensation: $80,000 – $115,000/year + bonus
Location: Raleigh, NC
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Join our client as a Financial Planning Associate in Raleigh, NC, where you’ll deliver personalized wealth strategies through hands-on financial planning and high-impact client engagement. In this in-office role, you’ll guide clients in setting financial goals, build tailored financial models, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Ideal candidates bring strong client relationship skills, planning expertise, and hold or are pursuing FINRA licenses or CFP certification.

Responsibilities as the Financial Planning Associate:

  • Client Planning & Strategy: Develop tailored financial plans by understanding client goals, challenges, and risk profiles.
  • Relationship Management: Foster long-term client relationships through clear communication, empathy, and trusted guidance.
  • Results-Driven Execution: Deliver measurable outcomes by driving client action and meeting revenue and growth objectives.
  • Adaptability & Problem Solving: Pivot strategies as needed to address evolving client needs and market conditions.
  • Collaboration & Compliance: Partner with internal teams to improve processes while upholding all ethical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications for the Financial Planning Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 4-6 years in financial advisory, wealth management, or a sales-focused planning role, with a strong track record in high-performance environments.
  • Licensure & Certification: CFP, CPA, FINRA Series 7 & 63, or life/health insurance licenses preferred (active or in progress).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial planning software and Excel-based modeling with the ability to build, analyze, and present comprehensive plans.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong interpersonal and execution skills with a client-first mindset, resilient attitude, goal-oriented drive, and the ability to independently manage workload and time.
