Lead fundraising and investor engagement as a Senior Associate (Investor Relations & Capital Strategy) with our client in New York, NY. You’ll drive capital raising across fund strategies, manage investor materials and diligence, and coordinate with a third-party placement agent. This role also partners cross-functionally with investment, finance, and asset management teams to align capital strategy with firm-wide goals. Ideal for candidates with private equity experience in investor relations, client coverage, or institutional fundraising.

Responsibilities as the Senior Associate (Investor Relations & Capital Strategy):

  • Capital Strategy & Outreach: Develop and lead investor outreach efforts to grow the LP base and support fundraising across fund strategies.
  • Fundraising Execution: Coordinate roadshows, marketing materials, data rooms, and diligence with internal teams and external placement agents.
  • Investor Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for LPs, delivering updates on fund performance, strategy, and market positioning.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with investment, finance, and operations teams to ensure consistent messaging and product alignment.
  • Market & Investor Insights: Track industry trends and investor sentiment to inform fundraising strategies and product development.

Qualifications for the Senior Associate (Investor Relations & Capital Strategy):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field required (MBA or CFA strongly preferred).
  • Experience: 5-8 years in investor relations, capital raising, or client-facing roles within private equity, asset management, or alternative investments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms, with hands-on experience managing investor data rooms and creating institutional-quality pitch materials.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of LP landscape, fundraising lifecycle, alternative investment strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strategic thinking, relationship-building expertise, and the ability to manage complex fundraising processes with precision and professionalism.
