Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is representing an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Chester County, PA to support our client’s Controller with corporate accounting, SEC reporting, and technical GAAP compliance. This high-impact role is central to the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, and internal controls. Ideal candidates will have public accounting experience and ERP system expertise, particularly with NetSuite, and will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced finance environment.

Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Technical Accounting: Research and apply relevant accounting guidance, ensuring accurate treatment of complex transactions.
  • Month-End Close: Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis to support a timely and accurate close process.
  • Internal Controls: Support the development and monitoring of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Audit & Compliance: Collaborate with external auditors and assist with documentation for quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance accounting workflows and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
  • Certification: CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or a public/private mix, with exposure to SEC reporting or corporate accounting functions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Motivated and detail-oriented professional with strong communication, analytical, and time management skills who excels in fast-paced, collaborative settings.
