Job Overview – Accounting Manager (Manufacturing):
Compensation: $100,000 – $110,000/year
Location: Burlington County, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Take on a key leadership role as an Accounting Manager (Manufacturing) with our client in Burlington County, NJ, overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and budget preparation across U.S. and international operations. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with expertise in general accounting, AP/AR oversight, and process improvement initiatives, driving financial accuracy, compliance, and reporting efficiency in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities as the Accounting Manager:
- Financial Reporting: Manage monthly financial statements and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies across U.S. and international operations.
- General Ledger & Close: Oversee general ledger activity, month-end close processes, journal entries, and financial schedules.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support profit planning, budget preparation, and variance analysis.
- Internal Controls & Audits: Maintain internal controls, conduct audits, monitor cash flow, and recommend accrual adjustments.
- Accounts Payable Oversight: Review vendor payments, expense reimbursements, commissions, and rebates for accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Analysis & Corporate Reporting: Monitor freight costs, drive cost control initiatives, and ensure accurate reporting to corporate headquarters.
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- Experience: 5+ years of accounting, AP/AR, billing, and financial reporting experience within a manufacturing environment, including international operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, with strong Excel skills and a focus on improving reporting and operational efficiency.
- Skills & Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven professional with strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of manufacturing accounting practices, budgeting, financial analysis, and internal audit processes.
