Job Overview – Accounting Manager:
Become a key player with our client as an Accounting Manager in Radnor, PA. This in-office role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional with expertise in statutory accounting and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. You will manage day-to-day accounting functions, develop policies and reporting tools, and ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000/year + bonus
Location: Radnor, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Responsibilities as the Accounting Manager:
- Statutory Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day statutory accounting functions, including ledger maintenance, claims and revenue accounting, and asset analysis.
- Policy Development & Compliance: Implement and maintain accounting policies to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.
- Reporting & Analysis: Develop reporting tools and performance metrics to track operating expenses, project spending, and risk management.
- Strategic Planning & Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to enhance compliance and strategic initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage accounting staff, promoting accountability and professional development.
- Recruitment & Performance Management: Oversee hiring, training, and performance management to build a high-performing accounting team.
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in statutory accounting within financial services, including 1 year in leadership, with preferred experience in insurance and team management.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements for public accounting, with proficiency in accounting software and reporting tools.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills with a strategic mindset and commitment to regulatory compliance, effectively managing and developing teams.
