Join our Private Equity client as a Business Development Analyst in Philadelphia, PA, driving deal sourcing, market research, and strategic outreach across key investment sectors. This role is ideal for a self-starter with experience in private equity, investment banking, or consulting, offering hands-on exposure to investment thesis development, lead generation, and firmwide growth initiatives.
Responsibilities as the Business Development Analyst:
- Market Research: Analyze industry trends and develop investment theses to identify key market players and opportunities.
- Lead Generation: Build and prioritize target lists, initiate outreach to executives and intermediaries, and source potential acquisitions.
- Relationship Development: Cultivate relationships with bankers, founders, and deal sources to support long-term pipeline growth.
- Collaboration & Evaluation: Work with investment teams to assess inbound opportunities and qualify prospects.
- Strategic Support: Assist with presentations, branding efforts, and business development strategies across portfolio companies.
Qualifications for the Business Development Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in business development within private equity, investment banking, corporate development, transaction services, or consulting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and comfortable working with GenAI tools and data automation workflows.
- Skills & Attributes: Analytical and proactive with strong communication skills and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
