Job Overview – CLO Operations Associate (Hybrid):
Compensation: $85,000 – $125,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Step into a high-impact role as a CLO Operations Associate with our client in New York, NY (Hybrid), supporting daily operations across structured credit investments, including CLOs and fixed income products. Ideal for a detail-oriented operations professional, this hybrid role focuses on trade settlement, cash reconciliation, and system management, working closely with investment and fund admin teams to ensure accurate execution and reporting.
Responsibilities as the CLO Operations Associate:
- Trade Support & Deal Setup: Assist with onboarding new CLO deals and processing trade bookings and cash movements.
- Reconciliation & Monitoring: Perform daily cash and position reconciliations, resolving breaks across custodians and prime brokers.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare internal reports and handle inquiries from clients, custodians, and administrators.
- Wire Management: Initiate and confirm wire transfers to ensure timely trade settlement and liquidity.
- Month-End Close: Collaborate with Accounting and fund administrators on reconciliations and closing activities.
- System Oversight & Efficiency: Maintain trade data in internal systems and contribute to process improvements and cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications for the CLO Operations Associate:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2-4 years in financial operations or accounting within a bank, asset manager, or fund administrator, with strong preference for CLO product experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiar with structured credit and fixed income products, with preferred experience in order management and reconciliation systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; experience with systems such as Advent Geneva, Allvue Everest, or Indus Valley Partners (IVP) is a plus.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a collaborative mindset, strong accountability, and the ability to excel in fast-paced, team-driven environments.
