Job Overview – Middle Office Associate (CLO Operations):
Join our hedge fund client’s dynamic structured credit team in New York, NY, as a Middle Office Associate (CLO Operations). This hybrid role offers the opportunity to collaborate with investment teams, administrators, and trustees while overseeing CLO lifecycles, compliance reporting, and operational workflows. You’ll support warehousing, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting while enhancing risk controls and optimizing processes to drive efficiency.
Compensation: $125,000 – $140,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Middle Office Associate (CLO Operations):
- CLO Structuring & Compliance: Model waterfalls, track NAV changes, and monitor daily compliance metrics.
- Lifecycle Management: Support warehousing, closings, resets, reinvestments, refinancings, and redemptions.
- Reconciliation & Trade Validation: Resolve trade breaks, reconcile trustee reports, and validate pre-trade reports.
- Cash & Liquidity Management: Oversee daily cash forecasting, warehouse management, and investment deployment.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams on business development, regulatory reporting, and operations.
- Process Improvement & Risk Controls: Enhance workflows, strengthen risk controls, and refine P&L processes.
Qualifications for the Middle Office Associate (CLO Operations):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 3-7 years in CLO operations, specializing in leveraged loans, bond asset classes, and CLO/SMA administration, preferably with a CLO manager, fund administrator, trustee, or top accounting firm.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel skills for financial modeling, trade reconciliation, and reporting.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with CLO document suites, warehouse agreements, LSTA trading documents, and CLO indentures.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable, with strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
