Job Overview – Director (Structured Credit & ABS Transactions):
Join our client’s Insurance Solutions Group in New York, NY, as a Director, leading structured credit initiatives with a focus on esoteric ABS transactions. In this hybrid role, you’ll oversee ABS structuring, tranche modeling, and regulatory compliance while optimizing pricing strategies and execution efficiency. Collaborating with rating agencies, investors, and internal teams, you’ll provide market-leading insights and drive strategic structuring decisions to enhance portfolio performance and business growth.
Compensation: $175,000 – $220,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Director (Structured Credit & ABS Transactions):
- ABS Structuring & Execution: Lead transaction structuring, modeling, and tranche optimization to enhance pricing and execution.
- Rating Agency Engagement: Manage relationships and ensure compliance with rating methodologies and regulatory standards.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Analyze rating methodologies, pricing trends, and asset performance for strategic positioning.
- Regulatory & Risk Oversight: Monitor market developments, provide regulatory updates, and ensure compliance with financial standards.
- Investor Relations & Business Development: Present transaction insights, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to investors.
- Portfolio & Stress Testing: Conduct risk modeling, scenario analysis, and portfolio assessments to support decision-making.
Qualifications for the Director (Structured Credit & ABS Transactions):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field required (MBA or CFA preferred).
- Experience: 7-15 years in ABS ratings, structuring, or structured credit, with expertise in tranche modeling and rating agency methodologies.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills for ABS transactions, with experience using structured finance modeling tools.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong expertise in structured credit pricing, risk assessment, and regulatory analysis, with the ability to communicate insights, lead projects, and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
- Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of structured credit markets, regulatory frameworks, and investor requirements.
- Flexibility & Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to support business objectives and client engagements.
