Job Overview – Data Analyst (Portfolio Analytics):
Join our private equity client as a Data Analyst (Portfolio Analytics) in New York, NY. This hybrid role is ideal for a data-driven professional looking to extract insights from complex datasets, develop analytical solutions, and support decision-making across multiple business units. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging SQL, Python, and Power BI to enhance reporting, automation, and predictive analytics.
Compensation: $95,000 – $110,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Data Analyst (Portfolio Analytics):
- Data Management & Extraction: Collect, clean, and organize large datasets for accuracy and efficiency.
- SQL & Python Development: Write SQL queries and use Python for data analysis and modeling.
- Dashboard & Visualization: Create Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights.
- Automation & Process Optimization: Build workflows to streamline data processing and reduce manual work.
- Statistical Analysis & Machine Learning: Apply predictive analytics and anomaly detection.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present data-driven insights to support business strategy.
Qualifications for the Data Analyst (Portfolio Analytics):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field required.
- Experience: 1-3+ years of technical and analytical experience, preferably within private equity, M&A, or financial services.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in SQL and Python for data analysis, with experience in Power BI and familiarity with data modeling, databases, and machine learning frameworks.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to generate insights and collaborate across teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Exposure to private equity, M&A, or financial analysis is a plus.
- Technology & AI: Familiarity with Gen AI fundamentals and automation technologies is highly desirable.
