Job Overview – Senior Auditor:
Join our client as a Senior Auditor in Norwood, MA, and lead audit engagements, analyze financial data, and ensure compliance with AICPA and GAAP standards. This in-office role offers the opportunity to work closely with construction contractor clients, conduct financial reviews, and assess industry trends to drive strategic decision-making.
Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000/year
Location: Norwood, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Responsibilities as the Senior Auditor:
- Audit & Financial Review: Perform compilation, review, and audit engagements both independently and collaboratively, primarily for construction contractor clients.
- Financial Statement Analysis: Prepare and examine financial statements, ensuring compliance with AICPA and GAAP standards.
- Industry Benchmarking: Analyze fieldwork results, comparing data to industry trends and historical client performance.
- Client Accounting System Evaluation: Conduct in-person testing of client accounting systems, identifying discrepancies and addressing unusual findings.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to audit procedures and financial reporting requirements, maintaining accuracy and transparency in client financials.
Qualifications for the Senior Auditor:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of public audit experience at a small to mid-size firm, with a strong background in construction clients.
- Certification: CPA preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of AICPA, GAAP, and industry-specific audit procedures, with experience in audit software and financial reporting tools considered a plus.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in identifying financial inconsistencies, with strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients.
- Tax Knowledge: Experience with tax preparation or tax-related work is a plus.
