Job Overview – Divisional Controller:
Take on a key leadership role as the Divisional Controller for our manufacturing client, based in Montgomery County, PA. This hybrid position oversees accounting operations, financial planning, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business goals. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you’ll drive strategic decision-making, process improvements, and foster a high-performance team culture.
Compensation: $110,000 – $115,000/year + bonus
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Divisional Controller:
- Financial Oversight: Manage accounts, ledgers, and reports in compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Closing Processes: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings to ensure accurate reporting.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust policies to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses while communicating insights to leadership.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate with site managers to provide financial guidance and support manufacturing analysis.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, driving continuous improvement and performance excellence.
Qualifications for the Divisional Controller:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in the manufacturing industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SAP and Excel is essential, with experience in Oracle Hyperion Planning preferred.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities; strong business acumen with an understanding of key business drivers.
- Attributes: Demonstrated leadership and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
