Job Overview – Vice President (Fund Accounting and Reporting):
Join our trusted client as Vice President (Fund Accounting and Reporting) in New York, NY. In this hybrid role, you will lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for private equity funds, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence. Collaborating across teams, you will drive strategic initiatives, mentor team members, and optimize processes to support the organization’s growth.

Compensation: $170,000 – $185,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Vice President (Fund Accounting and Reporting):

  • Accounting Oversight: Review fund ledgers, ensuring accurate investment activity, valuations, capital calls, and distributions.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee quarterly reporting for Limited Partners, annual fund audits, and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Entity Structuring: Collaborate with Tax and Fund Counsel to develop and implement entity structuring strategies.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Filings: Ensure adherence to Limited Partnership Agreements and oversee filings such as Form ADV and Form PF.
  • Process Optimization: Streamline workflows, implement standardized processes, and improve scalability.
  • Team Leadership: Manage Fund Accountants and external administrators while mentoring team members and ensuring deliverables.

Qualifications for the Vice President (Fund Accounting and Reporting):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (CPA strongly preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years of public/private accounting experience from a private equity or closed-end fund investment firm.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and analytical skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Investran and advanced Microsoft Excel, with expertise in fund accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative, with a focus on operational excellence and team development.
