Job Overview – Valuations Analyst (Private Equity):
Join our client’s dynamic team as a Valuations Analyst in New York, NY. In this hybrid role, you’ll manage critical valuation processes, collaborate with deal teams, and ensure accurate financial reporting for a diverse private equity portfolio. Your analytical expertise and proactive approach will support investor relations and contribute to the firm's continued success.

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY 
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Valuations Analyst:

  • Valuation Oversight: Review quarterly valuation models and memos for the private equity portfolio and lead discussions with deal teams on portfolio performance.
  • Committee Presentations: Present valuations to the valuation committee quarterly and coordinate meeting schedules.
  • Metrics Reporting: Update and maintain valuation summaries, performance metrics, and financial return metrics for investor materials.
  • Auditor Coordination: Address external auditor queries related to year-end valuation models and collaborate with accounting teams to ensure timely completion of quarterly financials.
  • Data Analysis: Prepare portfolio company financial metrics, perform analyses comparing performance to benchmarks, and produce ad-hoc return metrics.
  • Process Management: Streamline current valuation processes and proactively ensure the timeliness of all activities.

Qualifications for the Valuations Analyst:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of Valuations experience, preferably with private equity or illiquid securities, from public accounting advisory or equivalent.
  • Skills: Demonstrates exceptional analytical and financial modeling abilities, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with private equity valuation methodologies, financial return metrics, and performance analysis.
  • Attributes: Strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
