Job Overview – Senior Tax Accountant (Hybrid):
Step into a critical role with our client as a Senior Tax Accountant in Boston, MA. In this hybrid position, you will leverage your expertise in ASC 740, federal and state compliance, and tax audits to manage complex tax provisions and compliance processes. This role offers the opportunity to drive process improvements and tackle new challenges within a dynamic tax group.

Compensation: $110,000 – $115,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA 
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Senior Tax Accountant:

  • Tax Provisions: Prepare and review quarterly US tax provisions, including return-to-provision analysis and book-to-tax difference schedules in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure accurate federal and state tax filings, including extensions, estimated tax payments, and final consolidated trial balances.
  • Audit & Notices: Support internal and external tax audits, prepare workpapers, and respond to tax notices from various jurisdictions.
  • Depreciation Management: Calculate monthly/quarterly tax depreciation and maintain fixed asset roll forwards for all US entities.
  • Process Improvement: Leverage systems like OneStream, HFM, OTP, and Vertex Cloud to enhance reporting and compliance processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with external service providers to review US federal and state returns, proforma returns, and state-specific filings.

Qualifications for the Senior Tax Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA or MST with a focus on taxation preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of Tax experience with federal and state taxes (international tax exposure is a plus).
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in US GAAP (ASC 740), tax provisions, Schedule M adjustments, Excel, and systems like OneStream, OTP, HFM, and Vertex Cloud.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective time management.
