Job Overview – Portfolio Management Analyst (Hybrid):
Support our client as a Portfolio Management Analyst in New York, NY. This hybrid role plays a vital part in driving insights and analysis for the firm’s Portfolio Management team. Collaborate across departments to leverage portfolio company data, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to internal and external reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with senior professionals and make a measurable impact on strategic decision-making processes.
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Portfolio Management Analyst:
- Quarterly Planning: Support quarterly financial planning cycles across portfolio companies, consolidating data and providing analyses to leadership for Portfolio Committee meetings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Investment, Marketing, Legal, Accounting, Finance, and Capital Solutions teams to address portfolio requests and ensure seamless coordination.
- Data Analysis: Collect, review, and analyze portfolio company data to develop metrics, solve problems, and create materials for senior-level audiences.
- Decision Support: Leverage data insights to influence decision-making and assess the overall health and risks of the portfolio.
- Process Improvement: Design and implement initiatives to enhance analysis capabilities and drive efficiency across the team and firm.
Qualifications for the Portfolio Management Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Big 4 Transaction Advisory, Consulting, or related roles in finance or banking.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Skills: Demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with a proven track record of achievement and the ability to manage projects independently.
