Job Overview – Associate Director (Financial Services):
Our client, a leader in private credit and equity, is seeking an Associate Director in Stamford, CT, to oversee corporate and specialty finance functions. In this full-time role, you’ll manage fund accounting, financial reporting, and tax processes while enhancing team efficiency and reporting.
Compensation: $145,000 – $185,000/year + bonus
Location: Stamford, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Responsibilities as the Associate Director (Financial Services):
- Financial Oversight: Review and approve workpapers, loan tracking, and financial reports prepared by third-party fund administrators and loan servicers.
- Shadow Accounting: Oversee internal shadow accounting for the Firm’s funds, ensuring alignment with administrator reports.
- Reconciliations: Review cash and balance sheet account reconciliations, and prepare budget-to-actual analyses for management.
- Audit Management: Lead the annual audit process for funds, prepare quarterly tax estimates for managing partners, and manage the annual tax reporting process.
- Development: Maintain and refine deal and fund projection models, and create reports and procedures to boost team efficiency and visibility.
Qualifications for the Associate Director (Financial Services):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 6-12 years in Financial Services required, with at least 3 years in alternative or illiquid investment management (preferably focused on private credit).
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with strong knowledge of investment products and life cycles.
- Attributes: Entrepreneurial, analytical, and organized, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
