Job Overview – Director of Fund Finance (Hybrid):
Step into the role of Director of Fund Finance with our client in New York, NY, leading credit facility structuring, negotiation, and management to optimize leverage and capital efficiency. This hybrid role collaborates with investment, finance, and operations teams to ensure compliance and support strategic financial planning.

Compensation: $200,000 – $225,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Director of Fund Finance:

  • Credit Management: Identify, structure, and negotiate cost-effective and flexible leverage terms, managing credit facilities and optimizing facility utilization across assets.
  • Lender Relations: Develop and manage lending relationships, leading new financing and refinancing initiatives by soliciting term sheets, coordinating with counsel, and overseeing closings.
  • Oversight: Manage borrowing bases, model future borrowing changes, ensure compliance, and communicate potential risks proactively.
  • Allocations: Provide real-time capital availability insights, working with the investment team to support optimized deal structuring aligned with fund targets.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Collaborate with finance, operations, compliance, and legal teams to set up BDC monitoring tools and compile weekly reports on borrowing base compliance, capital availability, and fund allocations.

Qualifications for the Director of Fund Finance:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required (Master’s degree or CFA preferred).
  • Experience: 10-15 years of Fund Finance experience required, ideally within a mid-sized to large private credit investment fund or BDC.
  • Skills: Strong expertise in credit facility management, borrowing base calculations, and capital management.
  • Attributes: Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments to achieve financial goals.
