Compensation: $115,000 – $130,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Procurement Specialist:
- Vendor Analysis: Track and report on key metrics related to vendor usage, spending, and alternative options to support cost-effective decision-making.
- Cost Initiatives: Lead spend analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and drive budget efficiencies.
- Market Research: Conduct industry research to identify competitive options and present findings to management for strategic planning.
- Procurement Development: Establish, implement, and communicate standardized procurement processes across the organization.
- Negotiations: Negotiate agreements that balance service quality, cost, and supplier relationships.
- Leadership: Oversee enterprise-wide vendor management, ensuring a streamlined and effective process.
Qualifications for the Procurement Specialist:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field required (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of Procurement experience required, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Skills: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attributes: Strong analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively with various departments to drive procurement success.
