Job Overview – Senior Fund Accountant (Hybrid):
Join our private equity client in Greenwich, CT, as a Senior Fund Accountant. This hybrid role involves overseeing the financial operations of private equity funds, including capital calls, distribution files, and fund allocations, while ensuring the accuracy of fund financials and reporting.
Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000/year + bonus
Location: Greenwich, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accountant:
- Financial Review: Oversee the workpapers and financial statements of various Funds.
- Capital Calls: Prepare capital call and distribution files and review fund administrators’ allocations.
- Calculations: Handle internal management fee and waterfall calculations, and review the fund administrator’s figures.
- Investment Tracking: Monitor credit investments, manage credit facilities, and reconcile cash activity.
- Coordination: Provide necessary information to Fund auditors and tax preparers, review K-1’s, and assist with annual filings.
- Investor Relations: Respond to investor requests and coordinate wire payments related to investments, capital calls, and distributions.
Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: 5-7 years of Private Equity experience required.
- Licensure: CPA required.
- Skills: Strong tax knowledge, fast learner, and excellent analytical skills.
