Job Overview – Application Engineer:
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our client’s team in Montgomery County, PA. This role involves a variety of design and drafting activities, coordinating information flow between sales, customers, and production, and managing project workload within the Fabrication Department.
Compensation: $100,000 – $105,000/year
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Application Engineer:
- Design & Drafting: Create and update project drawings, develop layouts using SolidWorks, and produce detailed 2D drawings with bill of materials.
- Project Coordination: Assist with large assembly projects, ensuring timely and accurate quote and order fulfillment.
- Quality Control: Conduct final inspections of assemblies to meet quality control objectives using process and quality tools.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with third-party vendors for sourcing specified components.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers and production teams to ensure accurate pricing, materials, and lead times.
Qualifications for the Application Engineer:
- Education: Accredited Engineering degree from a four-year college or university.
- Experience: Proficiency with SolidWorks and experience in fluid distribution and analytical instrumentation systems preferred.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize workload.
- Communication: Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, engineers, and shop floor personnel.
