Job Overview – Fund Controller:
Join a dynamic team with our client in New York, NY, as a Fund Controller. This hybrid role involves overseeing accounting and financial reporting, managing leverage facilities, and ensuring compliance with fund credit facilities.
Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Fund Controller:
- Financial Oversight: Manage accounting and financial reporting for the finance business.
- Leverage Facility Management: Handle multiple leverage facilities and optimize cash usage.
- Reporting and Compliance: Generate financial reports and ensure compliance with fund credit facilities.
- Fund Administration: Oversee fund administrators for financial and capital account statements.
- Financial Analysis: Review financial metrics, prepare cash projections, and support audit and tax reporting.
- Investor Relations: Prepare reports, respond to LP questions, and support investor relations.
Qualifications for the Fund Controller:
- Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required).
- Experience: 10-12 years in Accounting/Finance, with a strong understanding of Fund Accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with credit-related products is a plus.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
