Job Overview – Accounting Supervisor:
Join our client's team as an Accounting Supervisor in Union County, NJ! This full-time role involves overseeing the accounting team, managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Location: Union County, NJ
Compensation: $85,000 – $105,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities as the Accounting Supervisor:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial transactions and accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing: Manage closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations for proper accounting treatment.
  • Audit Management: Collaborate with auditors to ensure successful audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting department.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.

Qualifications for the Accounting Supervisor:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience: 5-10 years in accounting or finance roles, including supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, GAAP, and proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
