MEET OUR PEOPLE

As Co-Founder of Atlantic Group, John Ricco started the firm in 2006 with a focus on serving the Accounting/Finance needs of companies over a broad range of industries, specifically asset management. Since inception the firm has grown to an industry leading recruitment and temporary staffing firm serving multiple locations, industries and lines of business.

Prior to starting Atlantic Group, John was an experienced public accountant from KPMG where he was a key strategic member of KPMG’s New Media Practice where he was responsible for leading several high profile .com IPO’s.

John has a passion for the recruitment industry and believes that strong relationships are what drives success in both business and in life. John has been featured in Crain’s, Forbes, The Financial Times, US News & World Report, CFO Magazine, eFinancial Careers, Big4.com, and Glassdoor.com. John has also made appearances on FOX BUSINES, CNBC Power Lunch, MarketWatch, Bloomberg TV, Bloomberg Radio, The Street and BNN.

John is a CPA and a graduate from the State University at Albany with a BS in Accounting. John resides on Long Island, is an accomplished musician, enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife and coaching his sons various sports teams.

As Co-Founder of Atlantic Group, Rich is actively involved with the strategic vision of the firm as well as continuing to manage a full cycle recruitment desk focusing specifically on Private Equity and Hedge Fund back and middle office roles within the CFO & COO verticals.

From the beginning, Rich had a vision of a recruiting firm that was focused operationally on honesty and integrity, complete transparency, with a process that was cleaner than the industry was, and still is, accustomed to. Being entrusted with someone’s career is an important responsibility, and Rich helped create the principles that now drive how we gain and maintain that trust from both our clients and those professionals that seek our help with their careers.

Rich is often quoted in both printed and online publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Crain’s, Forbes, Hedge Fund Alert and The New York Times. He also has shared his industry insights and expertise as a speaker at various recruiting and Hedge Fund CFO conferences.

Prior to founding Atlantic, Rich spent a few years as an auditor in public accounting and then joined Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where he helped oversee their Private Equity accounting & finance operations for 8 years as a Vice President. He graduated with honors from SUNY Oneonta with a double major in Economics & Accounting and was a member of the varsity basketball team.

Jason, a Partner in the NYC office, joined Atlantic Group in 2007. Jason leads all Accounting, Finance and Operations recruiting efforts within the scope of financial services, especially the alternative investment space. He is in charge of internal training of new and existing employees within the Accounting & Finance division in NYC. Prior to joining Atlantic Group, Jason was a pitcher in the Colorado Rockies organization after graduating from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He resides in Staten Island, NY with his wife and two young sons.

Joe Pitino joined The Atlantic Group in 2012 and is a Partner in the Accounting and Finance practice in the New York office, where he focuses on permanent placements with a specialty in the Accounting/Finance & Investor Relations/Marketing verticals. Prior to joining Atlantic, Joe spent over 10 years in the New York office of a Fortune 500, publicly traded recruitment & staffing firm, and began his career with a boutique, Finance & Accounting search firm. Joe graduated from the University of Delaware where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Since graduating, Joe has identified and helped counsel hundreds of clients and candidates through the executive recruitment process. Joe lives in Livingston, NJ with his wife and two children.

Peter joined Atlantic Group in 2011 and is a Senior Managing Director within the Finance and Accounting division. His efforts focus on assisting both clients and candidates and has placed hundreds of finance professionals into the private sector throughout his career. His clients include well-known consulting firms, alternative asset managers, and start-up and established technology firms. In addition to bespoke roles, he leads small and large scale requisitions for immediate or multi-year human capital build-outs. He is also passionate about ESG and diversity and inclusion efforts, and enjoys working collaboratively with his clients in an ever-changing recruiting landscape. Prior to Atlantic Group, Peter worked at PwC and graduated from Penn State University. He is originally from the Philadelphia area and currently resides in NYC with his dog Kori.

Daniel joined the Atlantic Group in the fall of 2016 in our New York City location. Daniel comes from an entrepreneurial background and has over 10 years of experience in sales and managing client relationships. His previous roles gave him experience developing new business relationships and managing the recruitment and training of all new staff. Growing up in western Massachusetts, Daniel has a passion for sports, health & fitness which makes him a great fit for our Health Services Division.

Patrick joined Atlantic Group in 2020 bringing 15 Years of experience in the Health Care staffing industry with a focus on sales, client relationship and management, recruitment, and business development. Patrick was born and raised in Brooklyn and currently resides in Staten Island. He is a graduate of St Johns University and has a love for family, friends, Italian food and a nice glass of scotch.

Sagar Rupani joined the Atlantic Group in the summer of 2017 and is now a Managing Director in the Finance & Accounting practice. Sagar focuses his recruitment efforts on both clients and candidates within the Alternative Investments, Retail, Manufacturing, and Consumer Products industries, with an additional focus on public accounting. Prior to joining Atlantic Group, Sagar spent several years at a publicly-traded staffing firm, and prior experience included time at Merrill Lynch as a Portfolio Analyst. He lives in Brooklyn with his dog, and loves to travel the world and explore new recipes in the kitchen.

Melanie, a graduate of SUNY Binghamton, spent several years in HR and as a Chief Administrative Officer within asset management before transitioning to recruiting in 2013. She brings over 10 years of experience in Legal & Compliance Recruitment to Atlantic Group, leveraging her diverse background to provide exceptional service and expertise in her field.

Craig joined the Atlantic Group in the summer of 2017 as a Senior Associate in the New York City office. Craig provides Accounting & Finance recruitment services to clients and candidates within the Retail, Manufacturing, Consumer Products, Public Accounting, and Non-Profit industries. He began his career as an Auditor on Long Island where he honed his accounting skills until moving into Manhattan. He has spent the past 4 years as a Senior Recruiter where he draws upon his accounting background to help clients and candidates find the perfect match.

Anthony Scardina joined the Atlantic Group in the summer of 2014 as Research Analyst in the New York City office. He now serves as a Director specializing in Investor Relations/Marketing, Accounting & Finance searches representing both clients and professionals looking for their next role. He currently resides in Hoboken, NJ and is an avid supporter of Juventus Football Club.

Sarah joined Atlantic Group in 2019 and is a Director within the Finance and Accounting division in the New York office. Sarah focuses her recruitment efforts within Alternative Investments with a specialty in the Accounting/Finance and Legal/Compliance verticals. She is passionate about cultivating meaningful relationships with her Clients and Candidates. Sarah is a graduate of Old Dominion University and currently resides in New York City.

Emily joined the Atlantic Group in the fall of 2020 and is a Director in the Accounting and Finance division in the New York City office. She specializes in the Alternative Asset Management industry primarily working on accounting and operations roles. She began her career as an External Auditor at a public accounting firm in Boston, and later transitioned into a Senior Internal Audit role. Emily graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and she is now currently living in the East Village. When she is not exploring new restaurants and speakeasys in New York City, she is visiting her family in Boston and going on ski trips with her friends.

Elliot joined The Atlantic Group’s Information Technology Practice in the summer of 2020 bringing with him 6+ years of agency recruiting. His efforts are focused around candidate recruiting, client relations/account management, and managing an internal staff of IT Researchers and Recruiters. Elliot graduated from The University of Arizona (Bear Down!) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and currently resides in Manhattan. He is a passionate Yankees, Rangers, Knicks, and Giants fan and enjoys discovering new cocktail bars.

Eileen Koreman joined The Atlantic Group in the summer of 2018 and is now a Director for our Temporary Staffing Division. She specializes in placing accounting, finance, operations, administrative support, HR, and marketing professionals. Eileen graduated from The University at Albany with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and currently resides in Manhattan.

Adolfo Del Prado joined Atlantic Group in 2016 as Corporate Controller after almost 10 years of accounting and finance experience in various industries. Adolfo is tasked with managing all finance and operations for the firm as well as managing a team of finance professionals that keep the firm running on a day to day basis. Adolfo graduated from Hunter College and is a part-time snowboarding enthusiast.
